Dr. Princeton Lim
Dr. Lim is a family practitioner and Medical Director of MetroHealth Clinic, which he founded in 1989. The Clinic provides urgent as well as Family Practice medical services to the Metro Vancouver area and there are over 70,000 registered Patients in the Clinic. In 1993, Dr. Lim was invited to become a Designated Medical Practitioner for Health Canada and in the year 2000, he was asked to join the Medical Panel for Immigration for Australia. Dr. Lim has been a consultant for the entertainment industry since 1987.
Dr. Lim feels very privileged to be a physician. “This is an amazing time to be a Doctor. The opportunity for each patient to live a healthier and longer life is here. Not only do we, as physicians, have an incredible number of tools at our disposal, the medical research pipeline is full with new developments in every area of medicine from stem cells and regenerative medicine to new imaging devices and less invasive surgical procedures. Furthermore, the integration of Western and Traditional Medicine will offer even more choices and opportunities for the patient”. Dr. Lim enjoys travel, music and photography. He has a special affinity for white sand and blue water beaches. He is married to his teenage sweetheart, Faith Lynn, who has been a source of love, strength and inspiration.
Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Lim conducted research in the area of lecithin (Phosphatidylcholine) biosynthesis in hypercholesterolemic states. He completed his Doctorate in Biochemistry in 1981 and graduated from UBC Medical School in 1984. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry (Honours, UBC) in 1976. He immigrated from the Philippines with his family in 1971.
